Join Creative Drama this summer Saturday mornings at 10:00 – 11:30 am, in-person at Crescent Art Centre, 525 Warlaw Ave. Fee: $75.00 and bursaries are available.

Creative expression through mime, physical comedy, character development, skit creation, vocalization and storytelling. No experience necessary.

Wear comfortable clothing and prepare to have fun!

Instructor: Sue Proctor M.A has performed at International Storytelling and Children’s Festivals across Canada. Sue developed the “Arts Ability” Project with Canadian Centre on Disability Studies (CCDS) that provided art programming at six sites in Manitoba. Currently Sue directs shows with Comedy Clownesque, performs as a clown with puppets, and facilitates educational workshops in creative drama, puppetry and clowning.

Advocacy and Inspiration: By showcasing the talents of participants through public performances, Arts Inclusion aims to inspire broader societal acceptance and inclusion of individuals with intellectual disabilities in the arts, promoting equality and diversity.

The Crescent Arts Centre (CAC) assumed responsibility for Inclusion Arts in November 2021 and changed its name to Arts Inclusion Network in November 2023. For the prior 15 years, Inclusion Winnipeg (formerly known as Community Living Winnipeg) was in partnership with semi-professional arts instructors offering arts programming to adults of ALL abilities ~ musical theatre, improv, drama, dance, art and yoga.
